Harvest Art in Ford class:
Ford have had such a busy half-term. They have created harvest art using skills of sketching, tracing, shading and have used oil pastels and collage techniques to decorate their work. Well done on a busy half-term! Happy half-term
Walk to School Week 2025
Monday the 6th to Friday the 10th we celebrated Walk to School Week. Children were encouraged to try and walk to school every day, thinking about adding to their active minutes and helping the environment. Lots of children across school tried their best to participate, some children who couldn't walk did laps around the field before arriving to get active! Children who managed to walk everyday received reflective keyrings, bookmarks and stickers. Well done, everyone!
Ford class update:
We have had a busy week! Huge thank you to Maddie's mum who let us borrow her theremini to support our sound topic! The children loved observing how the sound changed depending on movements. We also got to have a go at gymnastics ahead of next half term. As well as this, we learnt how to trade and barter during our stone/bronze/iron age topic!
Pizza Wraps 26.9.25

Today Ford class made delicious pizza wraps in DT! The children planned out their pizzas beforehand, considering their chopping techniques and food hygiene. They then had lots of fun making their pizza wraps- chopping ingredients, spreading sauce and sprinkling cheese. Mrs Sayer kindly cooked them for us and we had a taste test! Most children ate all of them hot but some took parts home to have later. 'Best pizza ever' was  mentioned a lot...Well done everyone!
Design Technology
On Friday, Ford class practiced their chopping skills in DT. The children learnt all about chopping skills, techniques to ensure safe chopping and how to prepare food. The children had a go at chopping carrots, peppers and tomatoes, discussing textures and how some were trickier to cut than others.

Ford Class update..
Year 3 have been settling into Ford class well and getting used to lots of new routines. We have had a busy first 2 weeks! Last week we enjoyed making personality islands in PSHE based on the film 'Inside Out' and drawing portraits. This week a highlight has been using base ten to connect number bonds to 10 to make number bonds to 100! Well done everyone!
