Our first Beach School of the Year
We have had a wonderful day at Beach school. We were lucky with the weather and the sun eventually came out and we have had lots of fun.
We read the story ‘Stick Man’ and found our own stick and used natural materials to make our own stick man. We used these to retell the story.
Using the part of the story when Stick man ends up in a nest, we talked about nests and the different types of nests birds might use. We then made our own nests.
Throughout the day we talked about seasons and the natural world around us and worked together as a team.
We enjoyed our lunch in the Hindmarsh hall and then went back to the beach to build a special place for Stick man in the sand. On the way back to school we enjoyed some time in the park.
All the children have been brilliant and we have all thoroughly enjoyed our day!
