Children in Need 2021

19th November 2021
Thanks to your generous support we've raised a fantastic £332 so far - let's try and beat last year's total of £510.00!

On Friday 19th November we were excited to support Children in Need this year.  It had the theme ‘together we can change young lives' and as a school this is an important focus for us at Hipsburn.

The whole school helped to celebrate the day by dressing ‘as Pudsey yellow’ as they could for the day and taking part in lots of activities within their classes. We were also very kindly loaned 40 mini individually named teddies that helped everyone take part in a ‘Great Pudsey hunt’.  Classes took part in a bear hunt at different times throughout the week and the activity provided lots of fun and adventure right up to the challenge for KS2 trying some real orienteering skills in order to succeed.

The children were rewarded with a generously donated a prize for each class and the winners were as follows:
Warkworth Castle Class (Preschool): Joshua
Alnwick Castle Class: Ollie
Bamburgh Castle Class: Arty
Ford Castle Class: Henry S
Etal Castle Class: Charlie K

However, we would like to congratulate everyone for their participation and for your very kind donations from home. We hope you enjoyed supporting us with this worthy event as much as we did.

Wear yellow for Pudsey…

We are very excited to be supporting Children in Need once again on Friday 19th November. This year’s theme is ‘together we can change young lives’. As well as doing lots of activities within our classes, we have been loaned 40 mini, individually named teddies and they will be helping the whole school take part in a great Pudsey hunt. Classes will be going on their bear hunt at different times throughout the week and the activity aims to provide lots of fun and adventure right up to the challenge for KS2 of some real orienteering skills. A winner from each class will receive a prize, kindly donated to school.

In addition, if your child wants to dress ‘as Pudsey yellow as they can’ for the day, that would be great. This can be a simple touch of yellow to a whole outfit, but KS2 please don’t forget you have PE and Ford a film festival trip too!

This year, there is a dedicated link on ParentPay for your CiN donations – please click here to make your donation. Thank you!
