Alnmouth Arts Festival

17th June 2017

Every year Hipsburn Primary School takes part in the Alnmouth Arts Festival, and this year we became artists, filmmakers and singers to prepare our entries.

The whole school rehearsed for weeks with the support of Caro Fentiman for a spectacular singing performance of sea shanties with different parts and harmonies. On the day around forty pupils from Hipsburn gathered in Alnmouth park to sing for their families and the public. The children sang their hearts out and the audience thoroughly enjoyed the performance.

Each class also worked collaboratively to create a piece of material for a large, whole school ship’s sail which was displayed alongside sails from nine other schools. A fantastic day was had by all; well done to the children and thank you to all of the volunteers who helped to make it such a wonderful day!
