Autumn 2017
PTA meeting
The PTA are meeting on Thursday 21st September at 7.30, The Coach Inn Lesbury. New members very welcome

The aim of the PTA is to support the governors, staff, parents and especially children to enrich school life. This is done by organising social events and fundraising for resources that the school cannot otherwise afford.

In order to be successful, it is important to have support and involvement of parents, governors and staff alike. It would be great if you would be willing to help with and support planned events. Your participation might be that of a committee member, volunteer, or as an attendee. Whatever level of participation, your time and involvement will be appreciated and valued.

"The Hipsburn PTA get busy with a Handy Parents Day"

On Saturday 8th April, the PTA held their first of what will hopefully be many, 'Handy Parents Days'.  It was first day of the holidays, the sun was shining and yet lots of families came to give their time and energy as a helping hand to look after the school and give it a bit of TLC.  Lots of jobs were undertaken from painting sheds, cleaning the outdoor equipment, scrubbing the gazebo, sweeping the yards and giving the willow tunnels and dome a bit of a remodel!  It wasn't just the parents who helped, even the pupils got busy with jobs.  All in all it was a great a success and the school would like to thank all those families involved, your support is much appreciated.  The PTA will keep you posted on the next Handy Parents Day and hopefully 'many hands can make light work' and it can go from strength to strength!"

Thanks to all those who attended the disco, we raised a fantastic £107!
