Lindisfarne Class 2019-20

Beach School - Friday 28th February 2020
Lindisfarne Castle Class had a busy eco beach day considering the problem of plastic pollution. We cleared two small areas of plastic. We were shocked to find  that we filled up one and a half big bags of plastic rubbish. At first we thought there was not much plastic but when we looked closely there was lots of plastic to clear. We kept warm by being active and had our playtime in the park. Fortunately we were nice a cosy in Hindmarsh Hall when it started to rain, so we had a dry lunch and reflected on the problems that plastic pollution causes and what we can do to reduce, recycle and reuse. We also talked about what we should do if we found an injured animal on the beach.
