Beach School 28th February

Last week of term was a busy week. We had a lovely afternoon with Mrs Johnson who came to share her favourite VIB (very important books) and be our storyteller. We have a special celebration with our favourite teddies listening to stories and using our reading area.
 
Our beach day was unfortunately cancelled due to bad weather, so we enjoyed a yoga session extra yoga session.
 
 
Healthy Bodies
In Lindisfarne we have been busy thinking about our bodies and the food we eat to help us stay healthy. On Friday we designed and made our own fruit kebabs.

Art
Lindisfarne Class have been finding out about the Italian artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo.We have studied some of his paintings and have made our own drawings and sculptures using vegetables and fruit.
 
 
 
Special Visitor
Lindisfarne class have been very busy finding out why our bones are important and how to keep our bones healthy. Ruth Mather a senior radiographer brought her skeleton friend 'Fred' to show us what our bones look like inside our bodies. We had great fun touching and looking at the bones close up!
 
 
 
Reading Corner
We have been very busy reading and had a super time using our reading area. 
 
 
 
Stay Safe Story-time
Today Lindisfarne and Alnwick Classes listened to the live-read of 'Stay Safe with Thomas'. We have talked about why it is important to stay safe near the railway. Children might like to share the ebook again at home with parents or siblings. 
 
 
 
Art
Last half term we were very busy right up to Christmas, finding out about star constellations and the famous artist Vincent Van Gough. We enjoyed creating our own 'Starry Night' pastel drawings.
